EXPERIENCE

Shopping under the stars

Summer evenings

Every Tuesday evening in summer, from 7 pm, the streets of Allevard-les-Bains fill up with passers-by and the Place de la Résistance comes alive with the evening market, a must for holidaymakers to buy local produce, enjoy an ice cream or waffles…

When smells and colours mix

At the evening market in Allevard-les-Bains, local produce and that of craftsmen fill the stalls and perfume the alleys. Unless it is the smell of the tommes de Belledonne, or the Montgaren. In summer, shopping under the stars is an institution in Allevard-les-Bains. It’s a real pleasure to stroll between the stalls and enjoy the resulting entertainment. Of course, when the stalls are at their most appetizing, it is difficult to resist the temptation.

Meeting with local producers

From stall to stall, you will discover local products and producers. In just a few minutes, contacts are made and everyone has their own story to tell. Each exhibitor talks passionately about his trade and his know-how. Shopping under the stars is the time to meet people who are passionate about their work, such as producers or craftsmen. Discovering ancestral production techniques, discovering or rediscovering healthy and natural regional products, admiring objects shaped by meticulous work, such is the magic of the evening markets in Allevard-les-Bains.

 A regular appointment

During the summer months, it is possible to go shopping under the stars every Tuesday evening. The evening market takes place every week for the greater delight of food lovers. Visitors and holidaymakers can stock up on local products before returning home.
