Our land

Allevard-les-Bains can be experienced in curist or tourist mode. Everyone comes here to find inspiration, rest and undoubtedly to recharge their batteries. Some come here just to discover our territory, to travel through the Allevard country, others to enjoy the thermal baths and what the spa resort of Allevard-les-Bains has to offer. Between strolls and local specialities, discoveries and gentle strolls, in the forest, on the hiking trails, or in the thermal park, come and discover our territory!

The benefits of thermal water

Allevard-les-Bains is of course best known for its thermal water and the effectiveness of its cures. People come here from all over France for treatment of rheumatic pains, respiratory tract disorders or fibromyalgia. The thermal water of Allevard is one of the most sulphurous waters in the world. The power of its therapeutic virtues added to its high sulphur content is due to its neutral ph and high mineralisation.

A rich land

Discovering the area of Allevard-les-Bains means interest for its cultural and historical heritage. There are many cultural activities with a varied programme of visits: a museum visit, a visit to an old fort, a tower dating from the 19th century. Sporting activities will delight many, with all the hiking trails available to you, as will the paddling on the Terrace lake or at the spa’s fitness area. Finally, food lovers will enjoy tasting the local produce that can be found at the market or at the evening markets in Allevard-les-Bains.

A green setting

Allevard-les-Bains is located at the foot of the Belledonne massif, in Haut-Grésivaudan. This picturesque village perched at an altitude of 475 metres enjoys exceptional scenery. The Allevard region, crossed by the Bréda torrent, opens onto the peaks of the Belledonne Massif. From 475 metres to 2900 metres above sea level, everyone comes to discover our land and comes back amazed.
